It’s clichéd but true:    A Picture  >  A Thousand Words.

More-so when you work with a great retoucher.

Say more with your images, and say it better.   Great photography deserves great retouching.  With Ben Woolsey and B+ Artworks you’ll work with an imaging expert with unmatched experience bringing the best out of pictures.  Whether you need high quality retouching, color work for fine art, art direction or 3D work; I bring my visual problem solving skills, deep technical expertise, and a critical artist’s eye to take your work to the next level.

My passion is collaborating on great work with talented creatives.

I would love to assist with your next project.  Take a look at my portfolio and let’s talk.

Be well & take care.    – Ben W.

About me:

Born and raised in West Philadelphia and its nearest suburbs, I grew up in a family of scientific illustrators and had early on-the-job training in textbook illustration and information design.  I put those skills to use after college, working as a scientific illustrator and graphic designer.  A desire to learn more both visually and technically eventually led to a career as a high-end photo-retoucher in New York City.

A growing family brought me back to my old Philly neighborhood, where I’ve been freelancing, working in fine art printing, and continuing to develop my 3D abilities. I now offer the following services on a freelance basis:

Photo-Retouching, Compositing, & Illustration  |  Color Grading & Correction  |  CGI illustration/3D Rendering with Maya and Arnold  |  Creative/Art Direction  |  Graphic Design  |  Photo Editing  |  Pre-Press

More about me:

When I'm not in front of a computer I enjoy a good bike ride, tasty food & wine, and summers away at a cottage in Maine. Not to mention having fun with my fabulous family and too many pets.  And, when time allows, painting outdoors with all the devices shut off.

Many of the pieces I've worked on were created in collaboration with creative, production and account team members as well as other retouchers in the studios. In particular, credit is due the talented team at AdvertisingArts. Thanks to all who have contributed.
